Why It Works

+

When you eat food, food goes into your stomach as a solid. You chew it, but you obviously don’t chew it into a liquid. Your body cannot use food in solid form; it must be broken down into a liquid.

When you eat, your body is supposed to go to work for you making enzymes, acid and other gastric juices to help you break that food down so by the time it moves into the small intestine it has been liquified and it can be absorbed into the body. That is how you feed your body vitamins and minerals.

Where the Problems Stem From

There are several things that happen in the body that can cause issues with digestion.

Digestive issues are hereditary, you could be born with a bad digestive constitution, this means at a young age you are not making all the great enzymes your body requires to digest food properly. This could be noticed at any time between infant and adulthood.

With every decade of life your enzyme production declines by 13%, so you’re not making all those great enzymes anymore to break down your food. Suddenly you start having issues with food you never had before. This typically starts in your 30’s or 40’s but could start as early as your 20’s depending on how bad your diet was growing up.

Lactose is typically the first enzyme to go so people start having issues with dairy. If you’re having issues with dairy, it means you are having enzyme issues.

Finally, if you have had any anatomical changes to your digestive system, it can affect the way you digest. This could include but is not limited to being diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, removal of your gallbladder or weight loss stomach surgery. Any one of these scenarios disrupts the digestive process enough leading to major issues with digestion and assimilation of vitamins and minerals.

The Simplest Thing You Can Do

The simplest thing you can do to counter these issues is to take a digestive enzyme with every meal.

Using Everyday Enzymes® To Get Off Medications

One of the ways our patients and clients use Everyday Enzymes® is to help get off prescription and OTC acid reflux meds like Omeprazole and Pantoprazole.

These medicines are meant to be taken short term, but many people are on them for years because it stops their symptoms. The problem is they are just a band-aid, with a lot of long-term side effects.

These medicines are acid blockers so now, not only are you not making enzymes, but you’re also not making acid so imagine how much digestion is taking place in your stomach – not much. Being on these medicines long term makes it hard for you to digest your food properly, which will make it hard for you to benefit from what you are eating.

The long-term side effects of these medicines include bone loss, muscle spasms, and issues in the heart and brain. This is because you are slowly malnourishing yourself.

Your body is very smart, if it doesn’t get vitamins and minerals from your food, it is going to rob from itself, and the first place it goes to is the bone and the muscle because that is where we have the most vitamins and minerals stored up.

The goal is to use the Everyday Enzymes® to help you digest better so we can get you off the PPI medicines over time.

Barrett’s Esophagus Note

If you have been diagnosed with Barrett’s Esophagus, it is very important that you do not come off of our PPI. The standard of care is to take the PPI for the rest of your life because at all costs you have to avoid acid from refluxing into the esophagus.

However, this means taking the Everyday Enzymes® becomes imperative. Even though you have to stay on the acid reducer, you can still take the Everyday Enzymes® to give your stomach as much support as possible with digesting your food which in turn will slow down the negative side effects of the medicine.

Directions & Label Information

+

Dosage
We recommend taking one (1) capsule right before every meal and snack, usually with your first bite of food. If you forget, you can take it anytime during or right after your meal.

If you’re eating a bigger meal or a meal you know usually gives you a hard time, it’s okay to take 2–3 Everyday Enzymes® with that meal. They are just enzymes — they are not going to hurt you.

Consistency with every meal will enhance benefits. If you find yourself forgetting to take them, put them where you eat (on the counter or kitchen table), so they stare at you when you eat. Always carry them with you, so you have them even when you eat out.

Why Dr. Liz Cruz® Digestive Enzymes

Through her experience in Gastroenterology and her years of working with patients and clients from a holistic standpoint, Dr. Cruz personally formulated her digestive enzymes to ensure maximum quality and effectiveness.

They are medical grade, clinical potency, with zero fillers.

The zero fillers are especially important since most supplements today are loaded with fillers, which can cause digestive issues.

Dr. Cruz’s products are super potent, extremely clean, and very reasonable in cost compared to other supplements with high standards.

Timing of Results

Many people will notice improvements in their digestion after just a week or two.

As with all natural products, results can vary for each individual.

Dr. Cruz recommends taking Everyday Enzymes® for at least 90 days before evaluating your progress so you can make a proper assessment.

The longer you take Everyday Enzymes® and the more consistent you are (taking them with every meal), the better you should feel.

Side Effects & Interactions

Since Everyday Enzymes® are literally just replacing the enzymes the body normally makes on its own, the vast majority of users have no side effects, allergic reactions, or interactions.

It has no known interactions with prescription drugs, medications, or other dietary supplements.

If you feel worse when taking Everyday Enzymes® that is a clear indication you are having issues with specific foods you are eating. If this is the case you must consider taking a food sensitivity test, which is available on our website for purchase.

By understanding what foods the body is sensitive to, you can get off those foods while taking Everyday Enzymes®, allowing the gut to heal faster.

Long Term Use

Everyday Enzymes® are perfectly safe to take on an ongoing basis. There are zero long-term side effects from taking Everyday Enzymes®.
